Elpida

Elpida is a strategy game with a simple management game on top. It wasa inspired by games like XCOM and Into the Breach. Lead unique characters to revive Elpida by protecting and planting new trees.

This game is nowhere near where we want it to be yet. It was developed for a game development competition, but the development was halted after we didn't advance in the competition.

I was the main game designer, 3d modeler and sound designer in this project. I learned the hard way that designing overambitious mechanics is probably not a good idea. Also it's often better to flesh out a small number of mechanics than create numerous mechanics but have them be extremely shallow.
